Marco Mendes has an Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management) as well as a Project Managers licence (Builder – Project Management Services) and a Builders licence (Builder - Low Rise and Builder – Open Site Supervisor) with the Queensland Building Services Authority (QBSA). These licenses can be verified on the QBSA website. In addition, in Queensland, a real estate agent needs to hold a full real estate licence and Marco’s licence can be confirmed on the Office of Fair Trading QLD website. Brisbane’s new Draft City Plan is now available to be viewed online. The new City Plan represents a critical document that will guide how land can be used and developed in Brisbane. There is still a long way to go before it is finalised (as the draft will now be submitted to the State Government and a formal 60 day public consultation period will occur in early 2013) however, it does give developers and land owners a good idea of what is to come. Some examples of proposed changes include the elimination of the need for owners applying to demolish or remove pre-1946 homes to provide public notification of their plans and the increased roofline heights for new dwellings from 8.5m to 9.5m.
